Supplying the School Year

Labor Day has passed and millions of America’s youth have headed back to school. Computers in the classroom, social networking sites and digital media services have became a part of school life. The staples of the “good ole days” have also evolved for the better.
Today many school supplies are made in a sustainable way. Our favorite, the #2 pencil, can be made from reclaimed or sustainable harvested trees. Paper can be made from recycled material and bound in a notebook with a cover made from cardboard and not plastic. To carry all these supplies, backpacks nowadays are even being made from recycled products like rubber or sustainable materials like canvas or hemp.
Below are links to well-known retailers carrying eco-friendly school supplies.
